I strongly believe that all good things must come to an end. This way we appreciate the adventures we’ve been on and are able to make way for new ones. So, I guess all the animes that I’ve loved, I have been okay with the idea that they ended (and for the most part, ended well). Sure, I think having another season or second movie is a nice idea but often when we continue to drag something out, it just gets muddled, the script becomes dry, and we end up hating it by the time it’s over.
However, there has been one anime that I really enjoyed that I felt should have had another season (at least). Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet is about a mecha pilot, Ledo, who finds himself on Earth amongst the people of Gargantia, a city built on a ship. With the help of Amy, a resident of Gargantia, Ledo learns their language, their structure, and eventually learns how to help protect his new friends as they help him find his way back home.
I just felt like Gargantia was two short of an anime considering the huge amount of world building that was involved. The characters are extremely lovable too which makes the 13-episodes go really fast.
What anime do you think should never end?
